Until others start sending in stories and photos I guess this site will have to be a lot about me and my Navy days. The photo above was taken after I got out of Airman Prep school in Norman OK and before I went on to Photography "A" school in Pensacola, FL.

I've got a copy of this picture, or close to it, only you signed it Love, Sarg. You were a bad boy!Think 1960......
I'm researching - do you know what PIC was called after Naval PIC and evidently before National PIC? Can't find it under reconnaisance. Was in DOD directory in mid 60s under a new name.
Well this bad boy can't figure out who this could be, but yes I was a bad boy at times. Why don't you email me so we can discuss things. Maybe I can apologize?
On what NPIC was later on I have no idea.
No apologies necessary - what happens at PIC stays at PIC. I did get answer to my question since I never give up - Not at all consistent. DoD/CIA estab National PIC as a U-2 program. 1955 Bruginoi founding member. 1960 flights over Cuba. Eisenhower set up NPIC w/CIA & DoD 1961 CIA estab. 1962 SecNav mentions recon over Cuba and Naval PIC providing interpretation. 1963 Unit taken over by DIA. Naval PIC nam changed to National PIC (national trumps Navy). 1963 Dir Naval Intelligence resig Naval PIC to Naval Reconnaissance & Tech Spt Ctr NRTSC Suitland. 1963 SecNavy Navy Unit Commendation w/ribbon for period 5/1/62-12/31/61. DNI fwd'd to CO Naval PIC. Nobody seems to quite know how Naval PIC started and exact time to switched. So now I'm curious about Naval PIC prior to 1961. PNC Marvin says a new bldg for NPIC was built behind local govmt buildings and old bldg rented out. If you fit the dates of citation, did you get a ribbon? Too late for me.
More of the folks at PIC should have had your sense of humor.
To Anonymous . I received another comment from you , but until you tell me just who you are I will not publish the comment. I find your comment very interesting and it seems you have followed NPIC news etc. a lot.
Please email me you also can find me on Facebook and let me know who you are. I look forward to talking to you.

NPIC mystery person. Thanks for responding. I posted your last comment, but not the most recent because it would have to be broken up into info you wanted to share and info you don't want to share. Anyway I think I know who you are now and will be glad to post any info you want. It would make it easier for me to do so by emailing me at sarj@sarjbloom.com and in this way we could also chat about your career and life after NPIC etc. I hope you are well and enjoying life. Sarj
